Suburban Hospital's Special Events
were elevated to a new level in 2010 with the
inception of the spectacular Showcase at
Strathmore, the 25th anniversary of the Golf
Tournament, and a record-breaking Key to
the Cure at Saks Fifth Avenue. Together, the
events raised more than $500,000 and engaged
hundreds of members of the community in
support of emergency/trauma, disaster
preparedness, and oncology
services at Suburban Hospital.

Commitment to Excellence honoree Jim Coleman was an obvious choice for
the prestigious annual award presented at the 2010 Chairmen's Celebration Dinner. Head of the award-winning
Bethesda-based Coleman Automotive Group and a
former member of the Suburban Hospital Board of
Trustees (2000-2010), Mr. Coleman has a long
history of commitment and service to both Suburban
Hospital and the community. Each year the award
recognizes local individuals who demonstrate ongoing
dedication to improving quality of life within the
Suburban Hospital community.
