Specialized Care for Our Youngest Patients

The Pediatric Center at Suburban Hospital provides children of all ages with quality care in a kid-friendly, family-centered environment. From emergency treatment to inpatient admissions, the Pediatric Center recognizes the unique medical needs of our youngest patients in an atmosphere specifically designed to reduce their anxiety about hospitals. The Pediatric Center ensures around-the-clock pediatric expertise and promotes continuity of care. A team of board-certified pediatricians and specially trained pediatric nurses staff the combined emergency/inpatient unit of the Pediatric Center.

This innovative format helps ease the transition from emergency services to an inpatient bed, providing a more comfortable experience for those children who require a hospital admission. Our pediatric team treats everything from sore throats to playground injuries and broken bones to complex illnesses. The Pediatric Center recognizes the special needs of all its pediatric patients and offers a full range of ancillary care, including radiology and laboratory services. The Center also
offers support for children who are undergoing outpatient procedures.

Our state-of-the-art facility, dedicated to kids, is designed to lessen the fears that children may experience in an adult healthcare environment. We are open 24 hours a day, every day. The Center features three rooms for emergency patients, four inpatient beds, and a separate family waiting/play area. Bright murals and stuffed animals help make the Center a cheerful, comforting place.
