Members of Suburban Hospital's Evidence Based Practice Nursing Council

At Suburban Hospital, the Evidence Based Practice (EBP) Nursing Council provides education to all nursing staff about the research process, the utilization of research in their nursing practice, and the implementation of evidence based practice based on research.

To accomplish this, the council designs and implements training programs in research methods and the research process. They support the development of nursing research studies, provide representation on the Suburban Hospital Research Review Committee, and establish partnerships with nurse researchers in the community, on the faculty at schools of nursing and in other disciplines. Members of the EPB Nursing Council also disseminate findings from research through publications and presentations and they make recommendations to the overall Nursing Department.
